California- Hawthorne Police Department

Hawthorne PD operates a single MD 500E Police helicopter out of the Hawthorne Municiple Airport.  Billed as the only police helicopter in the "South Bay" and known by the call sign "Air-55" The unit is staffed by approximately 5 sworn officers.
