There are approximately 300 Law Enforcement Air Support Units operating in the United States alone, and a significant number in Europe and other parts of the world. While a number of air support units have closed over the last few years due to the economy, overall police aviation is still positive force in the fight against crime.
Several years ago I began profiling some of the larger air units in the U.S. and gave them their own page. I realized that there were just too many to build a page for each one, so I began putting up smaller Police Aviation Unit pages in a blog format. There are links to both of them on this page. The first set of links are for the dedicated pages and the second link is to blog pages. Someday I hope to complete the list, but for now I feel as though I have only scratched the surface.

Smaller to Medium Size Law Enforcement Air Support Units in the U.S.
This link is to my running blog of law enforcement air units. I am working on a better way to publish these but until then the list starts in California and works it's way back through the states to Alabama. Only a small portion of Air Units have been listed up to this point but I hope to begin adding more soon.
